As a cyclist, I know the frustration of unexpected headwinds. I built windroute.cc because I couldn’t find a free tool that shows wind conditions in relation to my actual cycling direction. Now you can analyze wind conditions along your routes with visual charts and interactive maps - no premium subscription required.
Furthermore, a key aspect of WindRoute is privacy: most computations are performed locally right in your web browser. This means WindRoute itself never sees or stores any of your personal route data. The only external communication happens when retrieving weather information; parts of your GPX file (specifically the location) are sent to the weather API solely to fetch the relevant wind conditions for your specific route coordinates.
Select your GPX file, set the date/time, and explore detailed wind data along your ride.
